UNPD is reaching out to German vendors who can Supply medical training aid equipment.
The UN is seeking to establish a contract for the supply of medical training aid equipment and associated consumables to support the delivery of a range of UN medical training programs: from basic first aid training through to Advanced Trauma Life Support or equivalent. This would include a combination of full-body manikins, body part manikins, moulage kits, associated consumables, and replacement parts.
The equipment will be used by both civilians, military and police personnel in both a static training institute environment and within UN peacekeeping and special political field missions across the globe where the environment is usually austere and climatically harsh.
Equipment and consumables are required to support a range of medical training practices and scenarios:
- Airway management
- Intubation (endotracheal, supraglottic)
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Intra-Osseous (IO) infusion
- Intra Venous (IV) access
- Needle decompression of tension pneumothorax
- Catastrophic bleeding
- Tourniquet application
- Pulse detection and monitoring
- And other major trauma conditions and scenarios (for example penetrating wounds, burns, bleeding).
The majority of training will apply to adult injury but there will be a small requirement for infant/pediatric application.
Please let us know if there are vendors who would be interested in providing the above services and in being invited for the upcoming solicitation. The companies will also need to be registered as a vendor on the UN Market place at www.ungm.org completing the application and selecting “UN Secretariat” and upload the necessary documents required. The vendors can contact Nora Dias directly at diasn(at)un.org. The vendors can start their registration in UNGM but they will need to be registered at least to level 1 by the time of the award.
The UN will also be issuing a Request for Information(RFI) and vendors who write to Nora Dias at diasn(at)un.org directly will also receive the RFI directly once it is posted on UNPD website. The UN intends to issue a solicitation by early next month.
